  1. I bought a card that was presented to me as a "FutureTel Expresso MPEG-1 Capture card".

On the board itself it says:
    FutureTel, Inc
    Parakeet Board
    Copyright 1996

The board has five plugs in the back of the board:
    CVS
    S-Vid
    Line In
    Line Out
    Mic In

The board also has a red LED on it that turns on when the computer is turned on.

Does anyone have any idea what this board really is, and if so do you know where I can get drivers for it?

Any help will be much appreciated!

    That's it! You're brilliant ;^) I couldn't find anything on the card.
Now if you can point me to the drivers for the card, I'd appreciate it greatly!

First thing I try is e-mail FutureTel you may or may not get lucky but other then that change are you may not found the drivers on the web start by ask on some other video forum and hit the news groups like rec.video.desktop
Oh all must forgot you must like need the Applications that go with that card.

  5. I saw the same board on E-Bay being advertised and tried looking for drivers before bidding on it. unfortunately, I was unable to find any. FutureTel has evidently sold out to someone else and the new group did not purchase any of the old hardware and software.

You may try looking at the list of dealers on FutureTel's web page and calling them. I e-mailed all of the ones who had e-mail addresses and only received one back who did not have the old software and drivers and he is the one who gave me the information about them being bought out.

Wish I could be of more help.
