    I searched for an answer to this one..but the only one I could find was for Mac. Is there a program that will split an AVI and not take years? Thanks-Jim

    with avichop it is very simple to cut...but only by file size. Use virtualdub if you want to cut by timeline.

    Are you using Adobe Premiere? Use the "razor blade" in the Timeline window to separate the clip wherever you want. Or maybe I've misunderstood you????
