The problem I have is, I've downloaded a few dvd films from the internet and I want to put them onto VCD discs because I want to watch it thru my DVD player (big screen) instead of playing it thru the computer, is that dvd section gonna help?

  5. I have been trying to do the same thing. From my experience (which is limited to say the least) I would say, you will not be happy with VCD. I found the quality to be unacceptable (to me). If you are on a big screen TV, I suspect it will be even worse than my 36 inch TV.

I have been burning to SVCD. The quality is great. Expect to use 2 CDs per movie at a minimum. I have learned a lot from reading the newbie guides on this site (GREAT Site !!!!). I still have a lot to learn but I am working on it.

    Good luck!

    Thanks

I've just been told about this site, so I'll have a good look round it and try to figure it out.

  7. ive been making vcd's for a few months now thanks to this site and its guides. i find that making xvcd's, a 2 hour film using the 1 disc template is great even better quality if you split the film into 2 discs, somewhere in between vcd and svcd. if you p.m. me ill tell you how i do it
