  1. I got Sopranos Season 1 on dvd. ( 4 discs)

Whats the easiest way to copy just the episodes back to back continusoly? (no menus, nothing)

I assume decrpyt entire disc, and use ifoedit to combine some info? Burn.

You cant just decrpt all the vobs, use dvd2one, and burn can ya? It has to be different, since there technically 4 episodes (4 seperate movies?)

4 eps/disk at 52 minutes per EP is over 3 hours per disk. They are DV9's, not DV5's, so no DVDR direct copy.

    Now, the way
    I
did it was with DVDDecryptor. Simple rip each EP into a seperate folder.

From there you have 2 options. Based on what you alluded to, the final destination is DVDR. You can burn 2 eps/DVD with next to no effort(no re-encoding needed, just IFO work). If you want more than 2 eps per DVD, then you will have to re-encode to lower the bitrate.

It comes down to cost of a blank DVDR versus the hours of re-encoding involved.

  3. thanks for responding.

I do want to put all 4 episodes on 1 disc. (back to back) No menus, no extra sounds, no subtitles, etc.... just movies.

What to do in ifo edit?

    whats the process?

    How to?

    Can't do it with IFOEDIT.

You have to rip the 4 eps, and re-encode them, then re-author the DVDR and burn. Lot's of work :P Look through the guides for the process, it's pretty straight forward. I'd dump the 5.1 sound, it's not needed for a TV show.

  5. It's not tough at all..I compiled best stunts from different movies with a menu....Matrix, XXX, T2 etc etc...Its very simple and each stunt episode(25 min) long took an average of 15 minutes to author...I used tmpgenc to encode to mpg file and then using moviefactor imported it..worked likea charm..

  6. You can't do this. Not without re-encoding. You can fit (IIRC) 2eps/DVDR but not all 4. Check the file sizes in DVD Decrypter. But the easiest way to go is to use IFO Edit to generate a new VIDEO_TS with the VOB IDs of the eps you want.

Scroll down to the enemywithin's post on using IFOEdit:

  7. The Sopranos disks have 4 hours of film. That's twice the average movie. Woudn't the picture quality drop severly.

I just use DXcopy for stuff Like that.

    My 2 cents.

Yes, I know you want to put all 4 episodes on 1 disk.
