I must start out by simply saying you research and try to build a decent computer and.......AHHHHHH! Nothing is as great as hoped.

Okay I need some suggestions on how to tweak my computer to get the most out of the AIW 7500 and Adobe Premier.

Here are my Specs:

P4 2.4 Ghz
40 GB HDD
Samsung DVD/CD-RW
Windows 98SE



1)Is it possible to capture video of stuff you taped off the television onto a VCR ?
2) I have a firewire card on my motherboard does Adobe Capture from there ?
3) Do I have to turn off all programs when capturing in either Adobe or when I am capturing from television with AIW ?
4) Would upgrading my Operating System help ? It seems I have great underhood specs.

Some may say check in the How-Tos but I haven't found anything particular to my system (i.e. different processors or different os)
