  1. I am trying to produce a VCD of MPEG still images. I've followed the instructions given in the guide here for using VCDEasy, and it almost works. The result is that the horizontal lines shear to the left in blocks of 16 so that there are steps diagonally down the TV screen.

I think I've traced this to the encoding of the MPEG still as taking a sample from elsewhere (demovcd-pal) and decompiling it gives me MPEG still files which I can happily recompile and burn. These display OK.

The only difference that I can see between these sample files and mine is the bitrate (mine = 1411200bps, sample = 8000000bps).

Could this be the problem? If so, is there any way to specify the bitrate using VCDEasy?

I am using an LG4950 as the DVD player (PAL).

    Thanks in advance

  2. This problem appears to be related to MJPEGTools that come with VCDEasy. Have you tried downloading the newest MJPEGTools update from the VCDEasy site? (v1.6.0-rc2 I think).
