I am a DVD newbie with a new DVD burner (HP200i) and access to a few DVD's I borrowed.
I am not yet able to successfully burn backups, but I have been using "DVD Decrypter" to rip the DVD's to my hard drive, which is big enough to hold about 25 DVD's. Then I have to return the DVD's to my friend, so I don't have them available to play with except as a VOB and related files.
I just want to ensure that I am getting all the info I need now, so that when it's time to burn a backup copy that's playable in my own stand-alone DVD player, I won't find out that I forgot to rip some file etc.
Here is what I do:
1) When I open DVD Decrypter, I search the DVD for VTS_01, VTS_02 etc. directories.
2) I select each PSC and rip it
3) I allow DVD Decrypter to name files etc, and accept each default
Am I missing something?
