burning vcd's on a apex....

I'm having trouble when i burn some mpeg 1 (vcd) clips...like they play fine on my computer....but when i burn them in Nero...and play them on my Apex 703.... a lot of the videos look all messed up..the sound will be perfect...but the video is all out of place ...like ppl's faces cut in half and ..part of their face on each side of the screen... i also have another question... what is the best way to convert .mov files without any glitches... (i know this isnt the conversion forum...but if you know plz respond)..i used tmpenc...but maybe i didnt have the right options checked..thanks

Try burning at 1X if you're burning any higher.
