Is it just my imagination or is it true. I converted a movie from DivX to VCD and found the quality reasonable. However, earlier I had taken a home movie and made a VCD. The quality of the home movie was bearable but could have been better. Apart from the difference in source media, the DivX movie was widescreen and the home movie not.
Is it true that when you convert a widescreen to VCD the quality is better? I seem to think so.
Also, I want to know which program has better compatiability rate with domestic DVD players. I currently use Pinnacle Studio 8 for Authoring, but have used Ulead DVD factory.
Thanks![]()

a) The smaller the picture the less artifacts will be visable.
Check a 30 inch screen against a 14 inch screen.
b) Widescreen can look better as more bitrate can be
absorbed by the picture, and less by the border.
