  1. can anyone please tell me how to get my vcd's to autoplay in mediaplayer? at the moment i have to open the avseq01 file manually to get it to run and friends and family of mine who borrow my films generally call me up to ask how to do this. I back up my films using dvddecrypter, dvd2avi and tmpgenc. i burn the discs with nero. oh by the way its xvcd's i make not standard- i dont know if this would make a difference. any help would be appreciated!

  2. I don't think autoplay in WMP is possible, however, if you have PowerDVD, and set it to load on startup (look in configuration) I beleive it will autoplay VCD's, SVCD's and DVD's.

  3. couldn't you burn an 'Autorun.inf' file to the cd to make it
    open and play in media player?

    I don't know the commands needed for this though...anyone?

  4. there's an idea. Maybe;

    [autorun]
    OPEN=mplayer2.exe \MPEGAV\AVSEQ01.DAT

    Don't know whether it would work. I'll have to try it when I get home. you may have to adust the paths slightly. It should definitely work with the CD-ROM drive letter before the path, but obviously this is a varable.

    Elsewhere in these forums, someone provided a link to an autorun file which I saved for future use, but haven't tried myself. It contains:
    [autorun]
    open=start mplayer2.exe /play /close \MPEGAV\avseq01.dat

    Suggest you try this one first. It's supposed to work.
