    Hi
I would like to convert some of my DVD to a format that take less space than a pure DVD rip for my media player.
What format should I use to get the best picture and at the same time be able to use 5.1 sound.

Is it possible to use more than one soundtrack (languages) in a converted file?

    regards
    Daniel

I am sure others who own one will chime in, but from what I can see of what it supports, I would use Xvid4PSP to create M2ts files encoded with H264 (Video) and retaining the original AC3 audio. I believe Xvid4PSP will only do one audio track, but you can use TSMuxer to add more than one.

Use handbrake an convert to mkv with h264 video and keep the ac3 audio.

Already made rips? In what format? Does the popcorn hour support that format? Then just use it as you don't want to convert again and lose more quality.

You should be able to load the vob files into xvid4psp.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
