  1. Im using the Derrow's Ifoedit guides backup my dvd it says to open 1 of the video ts files with ifo edit then press play dvd well when i do this i get an error msg that says Warning 1 out of 3 DVD-video streams failed to render properly - video sream
No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection.
No valid DVD-Video volume could be located.
The video decoder doesn't produce closed caption data.
Do you want to continue? When I press yes, it says: Cannot get the IVideoWindow interface. Sorry, can't play DVD-Video titles.

I can get this to work under Windows 98 but not under Windows 2000. The DVD player i'm using is Power DVD 3.0.

  2. Hi,

You could try reinstalling powerdvd 3 or try getting version 4. I am using version 4 with XP and all is ok.

IFOEdit only hooks into a DirectX driver. Your problems most likely are with these drivers. The DVD player works fine on my W2000P system.

  4. Ok i was wrong i tryd to use ifo edit to play the ripd dvd in win 98 it dont work there too.In win98 the dvd starts but then it says cant play this dvd cause of region locks so i did the region free thing on ifo edit but it still no go.
Both win 98 & 2k are on the same system but i got removable hard drives so i can jump between 98 & 2k
I have had this problem with other rip dvd before & all i had to do was use the 98 system to play the dvd with ifo
FYI dvd is When we were Soldiers.

  6. Well now i think i found the answer to my problems.
If IfoEdit tells you that no RCE checking was found, save this IFO files and you're done and may proceed to the burning section. But if RCE checking was found, you must load all other IFO files too, and repeat the 'Region free' procedure
I missed that part so i went back thru all my Ifo files & found one more with rce so i removed it Buttttttttttttt Da i clicked all the regions & guess what the next line on the help says Again: Do only select one of above Regions, NOT ALL!
Crap well i guess i hosed my Ifo files now how can i fix this??????????
