  1. I currently have a Deccavideo DVD player which is basically a clone of the Dansai (and Tatung players).

My problem is that I jave always connected it using the Digital connection. Now I have come to connect it using the analogue connection the sound predominantly comes out the right speakers. This is obviously a fault with the player so I intend to take it back. As they are not available anymore I may have to purchase another player in its place.

This is obviously really annoying because my player does everything I want it too. It plays cdr, cdrw, vcd, xvcd, svcd, xsvcd, mp3, mpgs straight from a data cd, disables macrovision and one of the main features I like is that it converts NTSC to PAL50 which means I can copy NTSC discs to video tape in PAL format.

I was looking at the Dansai 1010 and realise there is now a firmward upgrade that enables VCD, and SVCD and a macrovision switch.

My question is does this player output NTSC as PAL50?????

If it doesn't does anyone know of a decent player that supports all these formats and does everything my current player does now ????

    Thanks in advance
