  1. I'm Buying a Panasonic DMR-E30S DVD Recorder at the end of the Month, and I bought Pinnacle Studio AV 7 last year to "Capture" Video and then put it Back on VHS until I can put it on DVD (the reason I just started catpturing video).

Anyway, I Cap the Video with a Composite Cable (Red, White = Audio, Yellow = Video), and the Capture comes out ver "Fuzz" or "Grainy", I can't realyd escribe it except you see lines in the screen. I "cap" everything off of EP Mode VHS Tapes (Old TV Shows mostly), and I outpout onto VHS Tapes. Beofre any capturing I Defrag the HDD and run Scandisk, but I still get a "Fuzzy" picture on the Output back to VHS. Is there anything I can do to "Improve" the Capture Quality?

The VCR is a Sony SLV-688HF and the Tapes I'm Currently Using aree "Maxell GX-Silver", but even other VHS taes (e.g.) Kodak come out in poor quality. IS there anything I cando to fix this? I had prettygod recordings for an EP Mode VHS Tape, but after I capture the Video, the quality is lost.

  2. I remembered when I tried the DC10+ card the video is very soft, even at 640x480 resolution. There is a sharpness control, set it to max or close to max, and adjust you contrast and brightness for best looking video. I would have thought they had improved the detail and crispness of the DC10+ card by now.

Man, thank you very very much for this tip! My image quality was in the same conditions and now i'm making a sample with this sharpness up! I'll test this in my DVD player to check the changes
