  3. Don't use Ulead for captureing, use WinTV2000. If you can't get WinTV2000 to work, nothing will. This is how you can forcefully install the PCI card drivers that will make WinTV200 work and install correctly. Also, remeber to connect a cable with a good off-air TV signal or cable so the card can detect the video system used and install the correct files. Connecting a composite video cable or S-video cable will not work until you have scanned all channels and found a good channel on the cable RF input. Add the composite channel as channel number 210.

Go to the hardware menu (My Computer, Control Panel, System, Device
Manager, ? or Sound, Video and Game Controllers) and select the PVR
    device.

Now right click on the device and select Properties. Click on Reinstall
drivers. When resinstalling the drivers, do not use the auto install, but
specify location of drivers. Specify the CD-ROM drive AND the Win98SE
driver folder on the CD-ROM. I can't remember if the drivers are in a
specific folder, but I believe they are. Make sure you specify the folder
(directory) and not just the drive where the disk is in. Now install the
drivers. You might have to do this more than once if you still have
    problems.

Next, run the setup.exe file on the CD-ROM to install the WinTV2000
capture application and other software needed for use of the card. You
might have to do this more than once also.

You're not he only one with this problem, and there is a solution, so
    don't give up.

  5. The PVR-250 is a hardware mepg capture card, and will not work with ANY other capture applications other than WinTV2000. It will not work with Virtualdub because the PVR-250 cannot capture AVI, only mpeg. There are no VFW or WDM drivers for the PVR-250.

skittelsen that not ture there PVR250 dose come WDM drivers but as you said MPEG only what that mean is the output format is MPEG not YUV = AVI format.

  7. The early version I bought did NOT have any WDM drivers. I guess the later ones came with a driver. There might be a plug-in for Ulead, but no universal WDM or VFW driver.
