Ive worked all night on this and still cannot get anything to work. Im tryin to make a vcd mpg into divx. Everything does fine in vdub up untill a certain point, when i get the "sync error" (will try to complete) error messege, then the fps goes to 0. This has happened to me before and it was easily fixed by re-encoding the mpg in tmpgenc. This time at the same point that vdub did.. actually just a little b4, tmpgenc crashed. So since i had the first part up until 2:40 (thats the point where it stops) , i figured that would be fine, id try to chop that part off in tmpgenc and encode the second part seperately then join them. When i tried to cut it in tmpgenc after i specified where it should be cut and click ok i get this error "at address 73F0AEFB, read error occurred against 73F0AEFB". if i go ahead and run it afterwards it only chops the part of the movie from 0 to 2:40, and i put the marker after 2:40, and have even tried going upto 3:00. still no worky =(. Ive tried fixing it with vcd gear, flask and de multiplexing it, nothing works.. there has to be some way though because it plays fine.. as a bit of last ditch effort i even burned the vcd, played it on my dvd player and it played all the way through even past the 2:40 point, then tried to extract the .dat to mpg with vcdgear to see if would somehow correct the prob, that didnt work either.. some genious know wassup? TIA! philip
