    locco,

    sorry, but just not enough info for us to deduce your symtoms.

    But, maybe you should try another capture card ie ATW or something
    cheap, just to see if you still get flicker.

    Sorry, again, but what is/does "flicker" look like.
    The only time I notice any "flicker" on my monitor is when i change the
    refresh rate ie, 60Hz will flicker when I pan my eyes left/right at this rate.
    And, changing back to 75Hz will stop it. But, I don't know if this is the
    case w/ your capture card, as you say that it only happens when you
    view?? or while viewing during capturing??
    If during capturing, then this can sometimes be considered normal for
    some Software/Driver/PC/MB/CPU/CaptureCard setups.
    If you're worried about your final capture file, and you play it, and it's
    fine, then don't worry. But, if you are seeing flicker just while you watch
    only, then I don't know what else to tell you at this time.

    Vhelp,

    The "flicker" kinda looks like it does when your TV is getting a bad connection from a coax or something like that or maybe like a camera that is getting tapped with a small tack hammer repeatedly, I know my connections are solid though cuz like I said it does it on any media...and also tested with 2 different aver cards...the mono one and the stero one both dont work...I may go buy one from best buy today and see if I still have a prob....(a different card)

    morning locco,

    This one might be a bit more harder. . .
    See if you can this your card on a friends PC. Yes, its a bit harder.
    But you want to see if it does the same. Chances are, it WONT.
    If it does not, then you KNOW it's YOUR pc that is the problem, ie,
    * it could be your I/O circuits are bad.
    * or, that you had a bad Driver install or a combo of Direct-X installs or
    issues going on.

    One more idea just came to mind. If you have a spare 1gig or so, HD
    laying around, yank out your current boot one, and temporaily install
    the old HD.
    * Re-install windows on it.
    * install your AV card
    * then it's driver and software

    Now, see it you get the same thing. That would be easier then trying it
    on a friends. But, do try it out on a friends anyways, as he/she may have
    a complete different motherboard and setup.
