I downloaded a Dark Angel episode off the NG. The format was 1 m2v files and 1 md5 file. I'm trying to burn with VCDEasy, but it does not like the format. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

m2v files mostly dont have audio .. is there audio when you play it ?
md5 is a hash checksum file and i guess NG post those to check your download i guess.. like a sfv file ..
the m2v file has to be multiplexed with a mpa audio file - then use nero or what ever to burn a vcd .. -
Yes, there is audio. When I play with the Elecard MPEG2 player, it plays fine with sound.

do you know if it mpeg 1 or if its mpeg2 ? what the frame rate is ? open (rename it to xxxx.mpg) it in dvd2avi to find out or load it into tmpgenc and look along the bottom line ... depending on what it is determes the next step ...

I don't know if it's MPEG1 or MPEG2. I assumed MPEG2. I'll do as you suggested and keep you posted. Thanks.

According to Tmpgenc, the m2v is:
MPEG2
480x576
25fps
2306 kbps
Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps audio
I tried converting to mpg with tmpgenc, but when I burn with VCDEasy, the audio is out of sync. If I burn the m2v directly with Nero, the audio is synced, but the video only fills 2/3rds of the TV screen. -

The audio is probably out of sync because TMPGenc tried to convert it to NTSC. The format your showing is PAL (25 FPS).
Fantomlord is correct though. The file is SVCD ready, and should burn without a problem 'as is'. -
Thanks for the help guys. I renamed the m2v to mpg and burned with VCDEasy with no problem. The audio is in sync as long as I don't skip chapters. As soon as I jump a chapter, the audio goes out of sync for a few seconds, then it's back in sync again. Weird, but I can live with it.
