You don't have to use the MD5 file unless your download got interrupted. Just burn the iso and see if it works. If it does your all good. Also, check your filesize against the app. filesize at mandrakelinux.com. I have burned several linux isos without checking the MD5 and they have been fine. Also, you may want to check out www.knoppix.net (its a live-cd distro).

Thanks Garibaldi, i tested install and it worked fine, but out of interest i did check the filesize at mandrake and some of the ftp servers have different file sizes for these isos? also tried out the knoppix , Very Impressed

I'm not sure if this is the best place for this question, but it looks close enough. I'm a Mac user on Lion OS and need a MD5/checksum generator for blu-ray video files. The ones I've located (Checksum version 1.9 (1.9) and MD5) are quite limited; they only create checksums for specific individual files in the BDMV (Blu-Ray information file), and the files must be created one-at-a-time in a lengthy process. Before I upgraded to Lion, I was using Shorten to create checksums, but lost this ability because Lion doesn't support Power PC utilities.
So, my question is, can somebody point me to a decent MD5/checksum generator that works with BDMV files in Lion?
