    I have just dowloaded 2 different versions of monsters inc..now on one version the picture is pefect but not good sound, and on the other version the picture is crap but great sound.

    Now i know by using vdub i can extract the good sound and then use tmpge to overlay on to the good picture BUT the sound has a few trailers on the beginning so is there anyway i can pause it so the sound will kick in at the same time of the film with the good picture?

    Yes you can add silence to an audio file with Gold Wave. Then you can mux it in TMPGEnc with the original video.
