I am filming instructional exercise videos for an online personal training website. I've filmed a ton of videos and I was hoping to add voice-over for the instruction. The software that came with my video camera doesn't have the feature I was hoping for. I'm not sure if any software can actually do what I want.
I want to be able to pause a video while still have running voice. So for instance, if in one of the videos I want to highlight a certain aspect of the exercise, I can freeze the video yet still have running voice.
Is anyone aware of software that has this capability?
I have adobe premiere but I'm not seeing how to even add audio with that.
I'd really appreciate the advice.

make separate clips with the voice and a still frame from the video where you want it to stop. then insert them into the video where you want them using your editor.
