  1. I am trying to find an MPEG-2 player that will let me frame advance in an MPEG-2 file. I want to be able to find the exact frame something happens so I can use that timestamp to synch the audio in cooledit.

Anyone know of a player that will do both frame advance and show the timestamp in hh:mms.sss format? Right now I have to frameserve to AVI and play through that way....

vegas video , adobe premier 6.5 , wobble mpeg-vcr , final cut pro (not positive) , avid ds , avid hd , sound forge (yep it imports mpeg2) , various steinburg products, frame serving to varous products like Blade, Speedrazor, fusion , shake , Rayz , media 100 , trinity ....................

btw cooledit defaults any wav file to 30fps and your video is 29.97 df so the time stamp are not the same unless you go from second based time code or change Cooledit display or what i always go by is only frame count as it is the most precise.
