I had installed version 2.57 on my second machine (it had worked well on the identical files I have encoded on my first machine where I have an XTasy Everything and Sony DVD recorder). I could not load a MPEG2 file into the Wizard, although I could in the MPEG Tools section.
I then removed 2.57 and loaded version 2.56 Plus. Now I can open the files in all the windows, but the frame count is extremely large (604,392,198 frames for any file so far). The previews in the Source Range will not actually run now, so editing is impossible.
I had installed Power DVD 4 Demo, WinDVD, and WinDVR to try the MPEG codecs when I had the 2.57 version installed.
Can you not go backward to an earlier version?
There is no registry entries that I can find that might be interfering.
does anyone have a suggestion?
