Hello friends , i have a hobby of collecting good movies and storing them on hard disk but it consumes lot of space is there any way i can compress these files like other zip files and reduce their size of storage and decompress it back when i want to watch it back. Files are mpeg from cds normal vcd.

Without conversion to mpeg4/divx/xvid ( quality hit ) you cannot get more than 5% ( probably less ) out of compressing VCD.
