  1. Hello, i have read the newbie "How to Rip a DVD", and after this i wanted to try.
I take the Final Fantasy - the spirits within PAL-DVD and begin to RIP.
I use Smart Ripper to get it on PC. Works very well and fast.
After this i used DVD2AVI to get the Sound and the *.d2v File for using in TmpGenc. Works fine too, but DVD2AVI shows me only 20 Frames in the "Statistic Window" and 16:9 and so on. The sound was good, and the *.d2v was workable.

After all i used TMPGENC to convert this to a PAL-VCD Mpeg. No problem to to that, the sound was ok and no timing problems occur with it.
The Bad Ting is, that the Picture is a bit lacky, that meens, the picture looks very good, but when the Horizont of the Picture is movin slow, the every 1 or 2 seconds the picture hangs a little bit.

May this happen, because i converted the 20 frames source into the 25 frames Pal destination. Can i walktrough this mistake by making a 19.97 frame VCD and can i play it afterwards in my DVD-Player (it can use SVCD VCD CDR and CDRW), i mean is a 20 frame VCD standard or sth.

If one of you can i help, i will be very thankfull!!!

Bye and thanks, (a do not know how to do and confused)

    Tolkin

  2. Yo, find my fault!!!! Yipeee...

I have marked Force Film in DVD2Avi and this is why the FPS going to be increased to 20 FPS.
I marked now the "None" field and get my 25fps back. :P

    Learning trough pain #glglg#

    Bye
