  1. Hey Everyone,
Just started happening with some of the new SVCD releases out there... in particular I've noticed this on Panic Room and Star Wars : Attack of the Clones.

Everything burns fine from bin/cue using Nero... Apex says the disk is a SVCD... but when I try to play it, it doesnt do anything. Just sits there.

Is there something new in these SVCDs that could be causing this? Maybe something like menus, or chapters, or audio or something?

Any idea how I could remove those features so they will play on my Apex 600?

Anyone else able to play either of these movies on their Apex 600?

    Frustrated,

I've played them both on my AD600; no problems with either one. Have you switched to a different brand of CDR's? At what speed are you burning them? -depending on you CD burner, some players have problems with disks burned at greater than 4X speed.
Also, I've had problems (read: coasters) with SVCDs burned with Nero - I can burn the same BIN/CUE files with Nero and CDRWin - most of the time, the Nero- burned disc won't play, while the one burned with CDRWin plays fine.
    You can't fool me, I'm a moron!

  3. Hi all,

Looks like I have to upgrade the firmware in the Apex600A to get it to play these SVCDs.
