Sometimes I demux a movie with Smartripper and when I import the m2v and ac3 files into MPEG Tools in TMPGEnc for multiplexing the end result has no audio. I know the audio works in SpruceUp or WinDVD.
I have been transferring my X Files laserdiscs to DVD-RW using my Pioneer DVR-7000 stand alone and when I rip the DVD-RW to the harddrive I have this problem. Could this be a 5.1 ac3 file problem?

If you have SpruceUp then why are you using TMPGEnc to remux the movie? Leave the Ac3 file alone. TMPGEnc is great with video but so-so with audio. Process just the video with TMPGEnc then load it into spuceup. Make sure your m2v and ac3 file share a common name (xfile.m2v and xfile.ac3). SpruceUp will rejoin the video and audio. Set yor chapter points and commit to DVD-RW.
