    please can anyone tell me which is the easyest and quickest program to remove adverts from my captures

    If using AVI (not mpeg) have a look a ulead's products. They have
    trial versions for download. Ulead's DVD moviefactory is fairly
    simple to use but limited in what it can do as far as editing. You
    can use Virtual Dub which is free but a little fiddly when it comes
    to cutting and rejoining.
