  1. I am ripping a dvd that has widescreen and full screen. It is only like 4 gig with just the full screen ripped out. When I select play movie it then still goes to the wide full screen selection. How can I make the full screen option not selectable? I guess I always thought when I ripped out something like the full screen or some extras that after doing the Get VTS option in ifoedit, that that would not even be selectable?? Am I wrong on all this??

Note: I see some people making there own tutorials on ripping dvd to dvdr. If there are some of you new commers out there, I would recomend using rempeg to re encode rather then tmpeg and dvd2avi because you will lose all dolby digital audio. Just a thought.

  2. I am not sure what you are doing.... It sounds like you are attempting to keep the menu and the 4:3 movie. This would be easier if you would be willing to give up the menu. Keeping the menu and movie is possible but I sometimes wonder if its worth the effort.

As for losing dolby digital when processing with dvd2avi and tmpeg, this is true but only if you process the audio and video together. You can preserve the DD 5.1 by streaming it to a file using SmartRipper. You can then process the video by itself and rejoin it using SpruceUp. For a step by step use the http://www.dvd2dvdr.com/ guide.

  3. Yes I want to keep the menu and the wide screen version. Its acually not to hard to do this. (on this movie anyway) I just deleted the full screen vobs. I just was wondering if there was a way to make the full screen not selectable in the menu? So I could not even try to play it??

    Thanks
