  1. I edited a 3 minute video with Premiere, added music and whatnot. All is fine in the preview menu but when I go to export it to avi, some video clips are just black.

Its kind of hard to explain, but in place of the clips that should normally be playing, its just black background/nothing (essentially) The music is still playing, but its as if theres a big blank space in the video timeline when there isn't. This is only certain clips as most of the video plays fine; then flickers back and forth with clips that work and clips that don't work.

I have done a fresh install of Adobe Premiere to see if that would help, but alas the same thing happens. I am completely clueless on what the problem is, this has never happened to me before, and was wondering if anyone had the same occurance and/or happen to know the solution. It's getting quite frustrating. As I have said, in Premiere itself..everything plays fine in the preview window and all of the clips show up. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. do the video clips play OK before you work on them with Premiere? The reason I ask is that I think that if you import stuff into Premiere and just cut/trim it, Premiere will not actually reencode on the export -- that happens only if you do stuff like adding transitions so that Premiere has to render the video. I'm not a Premiere user, so I'm not sure if what I'm saying is correct, but it's a thought.

  3. yeah everything is fine before bringing it into premiere, and in premiere. It's just the exporting part that is not working correctly.

update: upgraded to adobe 6.5 and still the same deal..
