    I just got done downloading the dvdrip of windtalkers last night in avi format but when I play the video in wmp it gets no sound but video plays. I tried extracting the audio with virtualdub and avi2wav but when I am ready to convert it they both tell me that the audio does not have a audio codec. Does anyone know what avi editing tools would work with this problem and if so please tell me how to use it or them I am new to this whole avi editing thing. Any little help would useful for me.

    If it says there is no audio codec, then you need to install it. The Nimo codec pack has all the popular ones.
