  1. I'm so confused, I've figured out how to pull the VOB file onto my hard drive from a DVD disc. Now I'm lost...

I can open it and watch it with the ATI software that came with my video card, but I can't seem to do much else with it. Is there a way to open it in VirtualDub? Or do I need to convert the VOB to AVI first if my end result is a VCD?

Also, if I'm supposed to convert the VOB directly to MPG, then how can I cut it in half at exactly the frame I want to split it at?

Please help, I tried following the guides here on the site but ended up getting lost as I couldn't figure out the whole frameserving part since I couldn't open it in DVD2AVI correctly, perhaps because I have no clue what I'm doing.

What do I do with the VOB files on my computer to turn them into a VCD?

Pulled ?, did you rip it ?. Hope so, because copying a VOB file would be no good.

    Some easy to use software
    Smartripper to rip the DVD
DvdX to convert the VOB files into AVI or Mpeg 1/2 (Load IFO)

No you can't load the VOB into Vdub, but you can load them into TMPGEnc
    Browse (*.*) > VOB

    < read the guides
