Alright, my question is...is there any reason to buy a prog scan DVD player? My friends just got one of the Toshiba TheatreWide TVs and it will do 3:2 pulldown on everything you put into it. Is the 3:2 pulldown good or does it suck? Looked pretty good to me. And they don't have a prog-scan DVD, just one with component video out...so is there any reason to buy a prog scan DVD player?

I've got one, a Toshiba SD3750.
Love it for playing DVDs but it doesn't play SVCDs...apparently few Progressive Scan players do.
It's a waste of time unless you have HDTV or plan to get it in the future. I use component video on my Toshiba flatscreen. I'm planning to upgrade to HDTV when it becomes more accessible. $$I support: DVD, XVCD -
The poll doesn't have enough options.
I already have an HDTV, and two progressive players.(Actually, one of them is a DVD recorder.)
