SpruceUp only outputs in 4:3. Therefore, for 16:9 movies, you will need to open up the final VTS_xx_xx.IFO file (created by SpruceUp) in IFOEDIT and change the aspect ratio to 16:9. Just look for line under Title Set (Movie) attributes:
Video: MPEG-2 720x480 ...... (4:3)....
Double-click on the line and change the aspect ratio to 16:9. Save the .ifo file under the same name and you should be good to burn. -
i cant use ifo edit, i have win xp, is there another authoring program that i can use?

If the movies are meant to play on your tv then they will be vertically stretched. The movies need to do this so that thy will have the correct aspect ratio on the tv. for more info go to doom9.org, dvd basics, aspect ratios explained.
