I would like to make a copy of a SVCD that has no chapters and burn it to another disc that has chapters .Have tried using VCDeasy to make chapters with my mpg file created with DVDx this works great .However I have some SVCD's burnt to disc using nero with no chapters and would like to add some but can't open the mpg/dat file on the disc using VCDeasy
could somebody please point me in the right direction or can it not be done .

Try using the VCDEasy tools to extract the MPEG from the SVCD to your hard drive, I think the one you want is vcdxrip or some such. You'll end up with a bin/cue set, an XML file, and an MPG file.

What you first have to do is, copy the DAT-file to you HD.

    Second: Strart TMPGEnc.
    - file
    - MPEG Tools
    - TAB SIMPLE MULTIPLEX
    - TYPE: MPEG-Super VideoCD
    - Video input: is your DAT-file
    - Otput: DON'T USE THE SAME NAME AS YOUR DAT-FILE
    - RUN

When it's finished, use VCDEasy to make chapters and burn again.
