  1. INVALID VIDEO SOURCE.........This is just one of the many error messages I get when trying to load AVI's and MPEG's into TMPGE. As soon as I try to convert most things to MPEG I either get that message or one that it... "can not open......or unsuported"......I'm Trying To Learn!!!!!!..Really!!!!

    Sorry, I am not an expert in this, but sounds like you need to download the Nimo Codec pack.

    I also read in some of the post here that you should increase the priorty of your VFAPI plug-in in Enviromental Setings in the Options Menu.

    Increase them to a high priority. It is supposed that you should increment them a number or two and should not increase them too much.

    Try this. If you still can't, keep posting here. I know there will be one of the wisemen who can help you.

    P.S. Did your files play OK in Windows Media Player?

    Unsupported files, means just that, your system does not have what it takes to edit those files. As you have already downloaded and Installed the Nimo codec pack, I suggest you try to open the AVI in Vdub

    File > File information should tell you the audio and video codec's that were used, However Nimo has them all anyway, well almost... it don't have the fake codec for the fake movies

  6. Change the VFAPI in TMPGenc. Go to Environmental settings -> VFAPI plugin and increase DirectShow Multimedia File Reader to 4.
