Does anyone know which brands of dvdrs work the best on these recorders and if you've had any problems playing them on other dvd players?

use to use expensive media on the e-20 and got tired of the cost. so, I did some searching and found a web site called rima.com. Found princo media for under $1.25 a piece and decided to give it a shot. I have ordered over 50 and all have worked flawlessly inside the recorder and had a hight success rate in other players compared to the more expensive media I was using. Was very surprised to say the least but I am very happy with the outcome.

I've had good luck with the Meritline 2x and the unbranded TDK. Recorded fine and played back ok in other players too. Still @ around $3, these aren't cheap. And I've heard a lot of what PhilipL said, no-names can be great one batch and lousy the next.

I've got a E30 and have used TDK, memorex and meritline(25-$1.75 each). With the TDK and memorex I had no problems, they all work on my JVC. The Meritlines I only had 1 bad one. The TDK and memorex were $5 a piece in a 10 pack, so getting 1 bad and paying less than half the price works for me. I've got 50 of the 2x from meritline on the way($2.65 each) so I'll let you know how they go.
