    shc,
Since you just purchased a new computer I'm assuming your OS is Win XP. Windows XP does not include the ASPI drivers you need. Look in the tools section under VCD/SVCD Burn/Authoring and you'll find links to the latest drivers. If you choose to use the Adaptec drivers pay close attention on how to install them since it's not a simple .exe file.

  3. In order to update your ASPI layer in XP, first you need to disable all your burning engine, it's suck anyway. You should serch for ForceASPI to go with.

Just for the record, I use the Adaptec 4.71 ASPI driver and rip consistently between 7- 10x speed and never had to disable anything.

    Hi
I cant remember how i discovered this but......
If u move winaspi32.dll from your "nero" folder (if u have nero) to your "windows/system32" Folder. Nero still works and Smartripper recognises your ASPI layer COOL EH???

    Cheers
