that site is worthless

The new InstantVideo 6.5 version of VOB's InstantCD/DVD enables direct copying from DVD to DVD-R - but only for not CSS protected movies, which is very useless. Being able to bypass this restriction seemed a very good idea and so I tried it.
And it works! Copying DVD movies has never been easier for me. They do an automatic bitrate adaption to fit the movie to 4,7 GB (I use a Pioneer 104). I tried with Terminator and Lord of the Rings...
The conversion took 8-9 hours on my P4-1.8GHz. Directly from DVD to the Writer! -

Yes, it works with AVIs also. It comes with built in MPEG-2 encoder and again, the bitrated is automatically set.

hi,
thank you for your answers!
I will try it myself and let you know if it works... -
o.k, I followed the instructions on this side...I copied "The Mummy" (I love that movie!) and the result looks really good. I will copy some other movies this weekend and tell you what happens...
Has anyone of you tried it? -
Sunni, can you send me a copy of The Mummy that you have, I will of course do a review of it and return it + a fee for your trouble.
What say you? -
sorry boy, but the copies are only for my own private use.
As far as I know, giving them to third parties is illegal.... -

My dear, it's not my site and after all, what's your problem with this site? You can find hundreds of ripping instructions all over the web... -

Oh, wait - you don't have any friends - I wonder why! -
dilligaf,
why are you so passionate about people making copies of movies they own? you post, entrapping, and then curse the question asked of you with no explanations......With your total lack of knowledge of entrapment and a cunningly witty reply like f@#k off, It is apparent you are in no way a professional of any kind, which is what makes me curious as to where you are coming from ? I am hoping it is not as simple as your statements imply. -
My experience with this company has not been good. First they charged me twice, they did fix it, second, I registered but still have not received the link to the help area. They are extremley slow at answering e-mail, there is only one way to contact them. I also have not had success with the software. It has quit or stopped (not responding) every time I try to use it.
