  1. I'm trying to do a DVD to DVD-R of the "True Lies" DVD. I used re-mpeg2 to re-encode the video and muxed it back in with IFO-edit. The scaled down video looks fine when I play the .m2v file with windows media player. But after putting it back into the VOB files with IFO-edit the playback is very jerky (powerDVD on hard drive). The movie seems to "blink" when played. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there another tool out there besides ifo-edit that can re-mux a vob file? Thanks,

  2. It's the typical field order problem. Did you use "Field A first" instead of "Field B first"?

Ive seen field order selection in tmpegenc but not rempeg. Ive just backed-up True Lies, it runs fine, though using the same process with LOTR produces a great picture but it pauses ever 5 secs. Rather than transcode with rempeg, I'll try an encode with tmpegenc using a dvd template and remux that and see what happens.

  6. My problem isn't with the re-encoding, but rather with the re-muxing. The video looks fine when I play the .m2v file, but looks bad when I re-mux it back into the .vob with ifo-edit. When you did True Lies what OS and program versions were you using? I did LOTR recently (fullscreen edition) and it came out great. I'm using winXP with rempeg1.52 and IFOedit0.932
