You will probably have better results if you capture to a seperate drive dedicated to capturing.

Keep the partition formatted and clean you will notice the difference.

Go to Pinnacle's website and download the small program that probably will fix the problem you have. It solved the problem for me.

    pusser,

Out of curiosity, what does this "dc10.reg" file do?
Obviously, it does something to your registry, but
what? And what problem is it actually fixing?

    Thanks!

    i have a AMD 1000, 256Mb memory, 60Gb 7200rpm HD, Viper V770 Ultra

Strangly enough DDraw is not given the green smiley although latest drivers and ActiveX8 is installed. ActiveX says that Direct Draw works OK. Hope the smiley is activated at your PC.

Switching colors from 32 bits to 16bits also helped me.

Also make sure you run the DC10+ hardware configuration and test your HD speed.
These results are not always true though. When 100Mb is written en read, it takes 6 seconds in total. It should be approx 30000 write and 30000 read, but it's only a fraction of it.
In Studio with preferences you can also test the HD-speed of the drive where you capture to, and there it does work. 30000+ with my IBM60Gb (DMA activated).

Capturing at 720x540 works perfect now, but 720x576 is very very bad. Lot's of lost frames. Strange?

Try to see if this works for you. Then try to capture at 720x576 with write setting of 3000 or higher to test full capasity. Please reply if this worked.
