just started ripping using smart ripper. then used dvd2avi to fram serve it. but when i tried to load the .d2v file to tmpgenc an error message pops up saying that the .d2v file cannot be opened or unsuported.
i raised the priority of the"direct show mulitmedia file reader" to 1 and even 2 but it didn't make a difference.
any ideas out there

Just copy the .vfp file from your DVD2AVI directory into your Tmpeg directory and that should solve the problem,it's always worked for me.

Make sure you did not move the files after you ripped them. I discovered recently that the d2v file was not recognized by TMPGEnc if the VOB files were not in the directory where they were originally ripped. You can check the original location directory by looking into the INFO file.

you can get that error sometimes if you donīt have the orginal name on the .vob files
vts_01.vob
if you have name like this "Spiderman01.vob" you can get that prob. -
thanks guys i solved the problem by copying the dvd2avi vfp file to the same folder where the tmpgenc.exe is located. the problem was that i had a version of dvd2avi ver.1.76 that didn't come with the vfp file so i had to get one that has it then i copied the file to the tmpgenc folder. i had to fram serve it again because the d2v file that i had belonged to the original dvd2avi program that i had...after doing that tmpgenc had no problem loading it in
thanks guys
