Hi there
I downloaded a film (avi) and I want to put the subtitles in with virtualdub I.ve done that a view times already and I never had problems before.
Now when I try to do so I get no picture just the sound but when i play the movie with media player there is no problem at all, so the problem must be in virualdub I think... so I tried a few other movies( also avi) and The problem is with all of them. Can someone Please tell me what can suddenly be wrong with virtualdub ?????
thanx in advance
Maureen

Sounds like the old codec problem. Download and install the Nimo code pack and see what happens.
Hello. -
I already have the Nimo codecs, and everything worked before thats why I can't figure out what has suddenly gone wrong?

Do you have it set in Video > full processing mode ?. Streaming wont display the picture. Also check under "Options" if you have the source and destination display "Switched on"

Then check your system to see what codec's you have installed
Control Panel > Milti Media > devices
Then use Vdub file > file information to see what codec's in use -
I've checked everything and the only thing that I can see that doesn't work properly is": PCLEPIM1.dll + PCLEpixl.dll thets what it says when I check devices ..but where are this files from and how can I reinstall them??

Don’t know what those are, they are not on my system. If you have all the codec's installed you should see the frames just fine, playing in Media player is different to editing in Vdub. It still sounds like you have a codec missing, did you install them in with Nimo ?
If you right click the AVI and select properties... What does it say ?
Or in Vdub File > File information
