    Hi
    I am using TMPEnc 2.56 Plus and 2.57 Plus.
    I am trying to encode The Matrix with these source details.....

    **************
    * Video Info *
    **************

    Compression: MPEG-2
    TV system: PAL
    Aspect ratio: 16:9
    TV system: pan-scan
    Display mode: 720x576
    Resolution: no
    Letterboxed: Camera
    Mode:

    What settings do I use to make the end product fullscreen on a standard TV or with at least just small borders. When I enter the D2v file TMPGEnc sets the source as 4:3 625 line Pal. But the info file says different.
    I have looked at other posts and tryed some of the settings but to no avail.
    Please Help. I need the Source Settings and video arrange settings to go either Full or Fuller screen.

    Many Thanks

    Not famliar with PAL,but in NTSC I go into the advanced tab "video arrange method" and set it custom centered. If I'm encodeing at 720x480 I set the custom size to 960x480 and that brings a 2:35 movie upto about 1:85,almost full. This 2 to 1 ratio preserves the proper aspect ratio.
