For no apparent reason TMPGEnc reports that ANY .avi I attempt to convert is unsupported.
Anyone any ideas??

Nimo Pack installed. All will load into VDub. All will play in WMP.
Just downloaded latest version of TMPGEnc and same thing happens. It's only started since last night.
Dont know if its connected but at same time my browser (IE latest) will open OK but if I click on a link that requires new page then the new page wont load same with links from Outlook Express. -
You could try giving the directshow filter a higher priority in option -> environmental setting -> VFapi Plugin.

Whatever the problem was seems to have been associated with Windows.
Did a "repair" job on WindowsXP and EVERYTHING is back to normal.
Thanks Guys for the quick responces, much appreciated.
