Which is the best desktop DVD player in your opinion?
I'm not talking about the ones made for computers. Which is the most compatible with the most common formats such as MP3, DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW etc? How about Regions?

Might want to check here first: http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
Other then that the one *I* liked best is starting to be kinda lame with the new fangled no VCD support models. -
well i Like any APEX models...cuase all of them pretty much play every format u throw at it

well...not anymore, my sister just bought the new silver 1100W and it doesn't play shite...idiots weren't paying the royalties to Phillips so I guess Apex will soon go the way of the dinosaur-while I like my Apex players(for VCD, SVCD and CVD), I still use my Sony to play back DVDs...it is just better. I think Apex has lost their advantage not supporting VCD and SVCD-I know I won't buy another.
End of Line.
