OK. .I still have been unsuccessful at burning a proper SVCD. I think the problem is with Nero and my CDR is not supported by Fireburner or CDRWin (it's not SCSI).
SO - I am DVD2SVCD and selecting do not create CD Image as the bin file right now is not working for me. What do I have to do to get Nero or CDCreator to burn a proper SVCD? I've followed the FAQ but that didn't work either. They don't play on either my computer or my Pioneer DV343 so I know it's a format problem. I have the same problem when I manually encode it with TMPGEnc so it must be something in the burn process.
Thanks!

I might be wrong but it looks like you're using the Wizard option in Nero.... Just push the "Close Wizard" button and there it is; on the left you'll see much more templates including one for SVCD, while the wizard only gives the option for VCD.

What problem are you having during the burn? Is there an error message? Is nothing being burned to the CD? What brand of burner are you using? I use an IDE burner with all 3 just fine. I also am using DVD2SVCD and having VCDImager make .cue files. If you are using Nero and have .cue and .bin files, choose File > burn image and select your .cue file. Nero won't show .cue as a valid extension but it works anyway.
