Today's DVD writers (+/-R and RW) are all max. 4,7GB.
Does anybody know if there are 9GB writers soon to be expected or do we have to live with 4,7GB writers for the coming year(s)

Well from what i hear being able to burn Dual layer(9GB) discs is impossible because they are not burned to begin with they're manufactured, my suggestion if you want the capacity is to get a DVD-R drive and try some double sided media thats been released that way you'll have 9.4 GB.
