  1. I have a divx that I wanted to convert to VCD but the audio is out of sync. Tried to convert it with Vdub and tmpgenc thinking the problem might be the slow speed of my cpu...it wasn't

Anyway I then followed a tut found on this site that used Vdub to create an AVI file meant to be encoded into VCD...it didn't work either.

Dunno if this is relevant but : the file as the following details

    Audio format : MPEG Layer3, 128kbit/s 44,100Hz Stereo

    Video Format : 640 x 272, 145484 frames, 24,032 Frames/sec 118KB/sec

I'm gonna be away 'till next week, still any feedback will be apreciated

Okay, I assume that TMPGEnc will encode both Video & Sound of the DivX file? So, it has uncompressed audio. Anyway, to match up the sound with the video, load file into TMPEnc, click on 'setting', then advanced, click source range box, then double click on 'source range' A window will then open up that allows you to select the start and end frames of the encode. Try to choose a part where there is a door slam or something distinct. Then adjust the Audio Gap Correct. This will be a + or - number in milliseconds. Try encoding the door slam and then play to see if the sound matches up. Keep adjusting until it's about right. Hope this helps..
