Got a movie split over 2 mpg (1) files, inteded for use as material for creating 2 VCD's. When trying to join these (following the procedure outlined in the howto here at VCDHelp), as I can fit them on one 90 min CD-R, I find that the last about 5 minutes are missing! Both parts looks and sounds fine when viewed separately.
Any ideas, or suggestions for alternate methods (preferrably using other of the standard freeware tools) much appreciated.
    TIA!

Last 5 min of both, or just the one ?

They may look fine when played, but that does not mean they are. Try adding just one of them Merge & Cut and leave the source range as full, that will make another copy of the same thing, if there is a problem it will still chop off the last 5 min

Thanks King, but I found a nifty little app called mpegjoin (!) http://www.cutting-room-floor.com/links/MpgJoin.exe that did the trick wothout any hickups. I really don't know if it was just the last 5 mins of the second part, or the last 5 of both, as I didn't bother to investigate further when I saw that the output was no good.

    Cheers!
